You can literally spend thousands of dollars on scrapbooking if you pursue it over the course of many years. All those wonderful paper stacks, die cut cartridges and three-dimensional embellishments are pretty hard to resist! And when you love something as much as people love scrapbooking, you're probably glad to spend the money to have everything you need to be creative.
Although there's no substitute for the special printed papers and embellishments that can only be purchased; it also doesn't hurt to have access to a variety of digital free scrapbook clip art images and printable scrapbooking supplies to extend your creative range. How do you find these budget scrapbook resources? Well, it can be difficult sometimes if you don't know where to look. That's why I've provided these tips for finding free resources to elevate your scrapbooking to a new level:
Do a targeted Web search
Although this may seem obvious, it bears mentioning that you should search the Web and include "free" and "digital" in your search query. It also helps to put your entire query in quotes, to ensure that the search engine includes only results that match exactly. So if you're looking for free digital blue scrapbook paper, your query should be written "free digital blue scrapbook paper" for best results.
Use Google Friend Connect
Many blog owners that give away free digital scrapbook images use Blogspot blogs that have Google Friend Connect, which offers the ability to follow other blogs. Since birds of a feather tend to flock together, if you find a great free digital scrapbooking resource that has Google Friend Connect in their blog sidebar, try clicking on the icons of some of the followers. This may yield some wonderful additional resources.
Find a site that uses a digital scrapbook search engine
A number of sites employ digital scrapbook search engines that scour the Web every day looking for free scrapbooking images to post. Simply do a Web search for "digital scrapbook search engine" and you'll be presented with a list of these sites.
You should be able to find a huge assortment of free scrapbook images by using one or all of these methods. But remember that not all the images are created equal in regard to what you can do with them. So make sure to check the terms of use for any image you want to use, because some have restrictions.
